Twenty Digit Design brings bold style and tangible enthusiasm to every sculpture we produce. As a collective we consistently motivate and inspire each other to create designs that balance an artistic expressiveness with a strong respect for project parameters. Our objectives are simple: each piece must be visually striking, resonate with its environment, and be suitable for the users of that space. Within that framework we let our imaginations run wild to bring you a piece that will exceed your expectations.
Our combined facilities in a wide variety of mediums allows us virtually unlimited creative opportunities. We can produce artwork in bronze, stone, steel, wood, fiberglass, and plastics to make your design a reality. By merging ancient techniques with cutting-edge technology we ensure that the process runs smoothly and ends with a piece you will love.
We would like the opportunity to meet with you and discuss design ideas for your space, be it public or private, large scale or small. For a consultation contact us at (520) 977-2946 or info [at] twentydigitdesign [dot] com.
Twenty Digit Design is based in Tucson, Arizona but works throughout the United States and Mexico.
Daniel Hornung and Joseph Lupiani were brought together while working at a fine art bronze foundry in Tucson, Arizona. They started working as a team to get public art commissions. After completing just one project their compatibility was evident and they created Twenty Digit Design LLC. The collabarative pooling of talents and experience created work that was fresh and exciting. The shared passions for innovation and hard work created a situation where both thrived. Their art work achieved new greatness and Twenty Digit Design LLC became an integral part of their lives and artwork.
Daniel Hornung was born and raised in Tucson and earned a BFA at the University of Arizona. Whether modeling in clay or creating digitally on a computer his emphasis is on storytelling. "The thing that sets sculpture apart from other ways to tell a story is the impact it can have on the viewer. The sculpture occupies the same space that the viewer does, and it does not rely on illusion to speak to its audience. Sculpture is very real. Because of this reality, sculpture can take on an amazing presence and energy." Daniel's sculptural fascinations range from Michelangelo and Rodin to Alexander Calder and Barbara Hepworth to contemporary figurist Ron Mueck. He combines his passion for classic stories and characters that have endured for centuries with inspiration from his own life to create contemporary myths and characters in a clean, expressive style.
Joseph Lupiani hails from Rochester, NY and is equally at home carving wood or stone, casting bronze, and fine-tuning his designs in 3-D modeling software. In fact, he credits the combination of his multi-disciplinary skills for opening interesting new directions in his creative explorations. "I am always sculpting and savor the experience of creating. This is true whether I am designing on the computer or using a hammer and chisel on a stone carving. It is a time when no other thoughts are in my mind and my focus is completely on the tools in my hand." Joseph's three-dimensional work shows a range of experimentation and variety, both in theme and with intriguing mixtures of materials and methods.
